THE SOUNDS OF THE YARDSALE

P.O.D. is a six time Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum Christian metal band from San Diego. The band’s name is an abbreviation for “Payable On Death” which refers to the Christian belief of the Crucifixion of Jesus. POD’s 1999 mainstream debut album,

“The Fundamental Elements of Southtown” spawned enough rock hits to take the album to the platinum level. On their fourth studio album “Satellite”, POD released two of their most popular songs in “Alive” and “Youth of a Nation” which was influenced in part by the school shooting that plagued our nation during that time. Aside having their music on MTV and MTV2, POD’s music can also be heard on World Wrestling Entertainment programming, motion pictures, and documentaries. Member Sonny Sandoval and Wuv Bernardo both appear in the edgy romantic comedy “The Yardsale”. The reason behind their guest appearance spot wasn’t for money but rather help out two San Diegan filmmakers.

Lil’ Rob (born Roberto Flores) a San Diego rapper who debuted as an artist in 1992, found enormous commercial success with the release of “Twelve Eighteen Part I” which had been in regular rotation on radio stations in Los Angeles, Phoenix, and his native San Diego. With hits such as “Neighborhood Music”, “Summer Nights”, and ”Bring Out The Freak In You”, Lil’ Rob build a fan base outside of the West Coast. Lil’ Rob sometimes even likes to branch out from his music world from time to time. He has been in films such as “187 Shadow Lane” and “The Yardsale”. So with a string of underground classics, a nation of fans, a blooming film career, and a new deal with Upstairs Records, Lil’ Rob is ready to conquer the world one song at a time.
